The Beppu Fireworks Festival, known locally as the Beppu Hi no Umi Matsuri (Fire Sea Festival), is one of Kyushu’s most anticipated summer events. The western area (mountain side) of the currently under-construction Haruki River Park 🌳 is finally nearing completion! In mid-December, it will open as the first multi-level urban park in western Japan 🏙️, with the familiar supermarket “Direx” 🛒 on the first floor and an artificial turf junior soccer court ⚽ and clubhouse on the second floor. Before the opening of this western area of the park, an opening event will be held on December 7th (Saturday) starting at 4 PM 🎉. Excitingly, soccer player Keisuke Honda will appear as a special guest for the soccer court’s inauguration! 🌟 We want all children to participate 👦👧, but due to venue capacity, entrance will be limited to 150 people by lottery 🎟️.
